ChaosBio.vc is operated by ChaosBio Management LLC, a New York limited liability company (“ChaosBio”, “we”, “us”). ChaosBio is responsible for personal information collected through this website.

This policy applies to chaosbio.vc. ChaosBio.com is operated under the same brand but is a separate website with its own notice.

Investments are made through investment vehicles administered by independent third-party service providers. Those providers collect information directly from investors under their own privacy policies, which govern that information.

Information you send us. This website has no account registration, newsletter signup, or contact form. If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send.

Technical information collected automatically. Our hosting provider records standard server log data, including IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use this for security, reliability, and fraud prevention.

Deal-room access. Entering the password for a private deal room sets a single cookie recording that the correct password was entered. It contains an expiry time and a cryptographic signature. It contains no personal information and does not identify you.

Public pages on this website set no cookies and use no local or session storage.

Password-protected deal rooms set one strictly necessary cookie. It is limited to the specific deal room, cannot be read by scripts in your browser, is sent only over HTTPS, and expires after 30 days. It cannot be used to track you across websites.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site behavioral tracking.

This website does not currently use analytics or advertising trackers, and loads no third-party scripts.

If we introduce measurement in the future, we intend to use privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics and to update this policy accordingly.

If you have asked to hear about ChaosBio investment opportunities, we may contact you for that purpose. Marketing communications include a way to unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time by emailing contact@chaosbio.com.

Requesting information does not give us unlimited permission to market to you. Operational messages relating to an investment you have actually made may continue for as long as necessary to administer it.

ChaosBio.com and ChaosBio.vc are separate websites operated under the ChaosBio brand. Information you provide on one may be used across ChaosBio-operated properties for the purpose for which you provided it — for example, if you join the investor network through ChaosBio.com, we may use your contact details to share ChaosBio investment opportunities.

This is use within ChaosBio's own operations. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We use a small number of service providers to operate this website, including a hosting provider and an email provider. They process information on our behalf or, where they deal with you directly, under their own policies.

Where you invest, the SPV administrator collects information from you directly to meet its own subscription, investor qualification, and compliance obligations.

We keep information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and then only as long as we have a legitimate reason to keep it.

• Routine server and security logs: approximately 90 days, unless retained longer for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or the resolution of a dispute.
• Investor and contact information: while the relationship is active, and afterwards for as long as reasonably necessary for legitimate business, recordkeeping, legal, tax, regulatory, or compliance purposes.
• Records relating to actual investments: may be kept for longer where required by law or by an SPV administrator's compliance obligations.

We take reasonable measures to protect information. The website is served over HTTPS, confidential deal rooms are access-controlled, and access cookies are cryptographically signed.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Deal-room access materials are confidential, and you should not share them.

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing contact@chaosbio.com. We may need to keep certain information where we have a legal, tax, regulatory, or recordkeeping obligation to do so.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable data protection law. If you contact us, we will respond consistent with the requirements that apply.
